XXVII Colóquio de Usinagem

O XXVII Colóquio de Usinagem será realizado em Belo Horizonte/MG na Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) nos dias 17, 18 e 19 de setembro de 2025.

 

Aqui estão alguns destaques do evento:

O evento

O Colóquio de Usinagem iniciou-se como um evento local na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, sendo organizado pela primeira vez em 1993, pelo Laboratório de Ensino e Pesquisa em Usinagem, com o propósito de promover a difusão e debates sobre as pesquisas de usinagem que estavam sendo desenvolvidas. Devido a credibilidade do evento e ao espaço criado para diálogos referente aos temas de usinagem, o evento foi se expandindo, sendo realizado em diferentes universidades, atraindo a participação tanto da comunidade acadêmica como das indústrias, tendo hoje abrangência nacional.


O evento encontra-se na sua 27ª edição, tendo sido realizado em cidades como Uberlândia/MG, Belo Horizonte/MG, Goiânia/GO, Juiz de Fora/MG, Ouro Preto/MG, Uberaba/MG, Viçosa/MG, Natal/RN, Curitba/PR, Brusque/SC e Campinas/SP. A atual edição ocorrerá em Belo Horizonte entre os dias 17 a 19 de setembro de 2025.


Público-alvo

O público-alvo consiste em profissionais da indústria, professores, mestrandos e doutorandos, estudantes de graduação, engenheiros e técnicos cuja pesquisa ou trabalho versam sobre a temática “Processos de Usinagem”.

Temática

O evento aborda assuntos relacionados à usinagem convencional e não convencional. A XXVII edição abordará as seguintes temáticas: “Usinabilidade dos Materiais”, “Textura e Integridade da Superfície”, “Automação e Tecnologia de Controle dos processos de Usinagem”, “Melhoria dos Parâmetros de Processo”, “Projeto de Máquinas-ferramenta”, “Sistemas de Manufatura e Planejamento”, “Microusinagem”, “Usinagem Verde” e “Metrologia em Processos de Usinagem”.

CILAMCE-2025 - Advanced Discretization Techniques for the Simulation of Fluid Flow in Porous Media

We are organizing the Mini-symposium “Advanced Discretization Techniques for the Simulation of Fluid Flow in Porous Media”, to be held at the XLVI Ibero-Latin American Congress on Computational Methods in Engineering (CILAMCE-2025), Vitória/ES/Brazil, 24 to 27 of November, 2025.

The “Advanced Discretization Techniques for the Simulation of Fluid Flow in Porous Media” Mini-symposium has been organized annually since 2012 at CILAMCE and WCCM series of Conferences.

The mini-symposium is dedicated to the discussion of recent developments and applications in the field of Numerical Simulation of multiphase flow in porous media, encompassing petroleum reservoirs, aquifer, nuclear disposal, transport of contaminants, poroelasticity and related disciplines, including new gridding, mesh adaptation, advanced numerical formulations, multiscale and multilevel methods. The goal is to bring together researchers, students and professionals in the field of petroleum reservoir simulation and all areas involving porous media flows. The scope of the mini-symposium ranges from the mathematical and computational methods to the modeling and simulation of challenging applications in multiphase flow in porous media.

VBE 2025 - 2nd International Conference on Vehicle Body Engineering

Dear colleague,

I would like to inform you about the 2nd International Conference on Vehicle Body Engineering that will take place in Porto, Portugal, 6-7 November 2025.


The conference venue is the campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), which offers excellent facilites for high quality scientific interactions. FEUP is located in the town of Porto, in the Northern region of Portugal. Porto is a beautiful and lively city, steeped in history and rich in great experiences. With its magnificient location by the Atlantic coast, Porto is the city of the world famous Port Wine and the River Douro.

 

This conference is held every two years and is chaired by me and Dr. Eduardo A. S. Marques (University of Porto, Portugal).

The focus of this conference is the study on the design of the structural components of vehicle bodies, for the automotive, aerospace and railway sectors. Among the topics covered are road vehicle structural design, aeronautical structural design, rolling stock structural design, material testing, structural testing, manufacture of complex structures, structural joining methods, structural monitoring, self-healing structures, numerical simulation of structures, numerical simulation of structural components, multibody simulation, impact performance of structures, dynamic behaviour of structures, durability of structures, fatigue design of complex structures and structural ligthtweighing techniques.

Authors who wish to make a presentation (oral or poster) are requested to submit a short abstract (one single A4 page possibly with a diagram and references) in English, by 13 June 2025. The abstracts should be sent electronically to lucas@fe.up.pt . Indicate in the email if you want oral or poster presentation. The abstract template can be downloaded from the conference web site.

 
Conference proceedings with the accepted abstracts will be available at the registration. The Book of Abstracts will have an ISBN number.

Full papers will be considered for publication in special and regular issues of the following journals (provided they meet the journals standard):  Discover Mechanical Engineering (Springer), UPorto Journal of Engineering (University of Porto),  and in the book series Proceedings of Engineering Mechanics: Research, Technology and Education (Springer). The full papers (not compulsory) should be sent to the e-mail lucas@fe.up.pt before the 6th of November 2025. The text should be in single column format and double line spacing.

Processo Seletivo do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica da EESC-USP

Estão abertas até o dia 23 de maio de 2025 as inscrições para o Processo Seletivo do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica (PPGEM) da Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos (EESC) da USP. São oferecidas vagas para os cursos de mestrado, doutorado e doutorado direto, com início previsto para o segundo semestre de 2025.
 

O PPGEM-EESC/USP é um dos melhores programas de pós-graduação na área de Engenharia Mecânica do país, tendo recebido Nota 7 na Avaliação CAPES - Quadriênio 2017-2020.


Os interessados poderão escolher entre as seguintes áreas de concentração: 

• Aeronáutica;

• Dinâmica e Mecatrônica;

• Projeto, Materiais e Manufatura;

• Termociências e Mecânica dos Fluidos.

 

Os candidatos deverão realizar um exame online no dia 08 de junho de 2025, que envolverá conhecimentos pertinentes a disciplinas comuns aos cursos de Engenharia Mecânica e correlatos.
 

Além de bolsas da quota (CAPES e CNPq) do programa, os candidatos poderão concorrer a bolsas de outras agências de fomento (FAPESP) e empresas (Petrobras, ROTA 2030).
