Comitê de Ciências Térmicas

    Área: O Comitê de Ciências Térmicas é um dos mais antigos e tradicionais da ABCM, com forte atuação junto às comunidades acadêmica e industrial, no Brasil e no exterior. Este Comitê congrega aproximadamente 200 sócios da ABCM, com interesse em temas ligados aos fundamentos e às aplicações das Ciências Térmicas, incluindo, entre outros:

    • Transferência de calor e massa
    • Termodinâmica
    • Máquinas, sistemas e equipamentos térmicos
    • Sistemas multifásicos, multi-componentes, reativos e com mudança-de-fase
    • Métodos analíticos, numéricos e híbridos para a solução de problemas diretos, inversos e de otimização

      Call for Papers Now Open! (Dead Line for Abstract Submission: 28-Jan-2008)

      Multidisciplinary analysis and optimization (MA&O) is rapidly becoming a standard element of contemporary design methodologies. With significant advances in computing algorithms and power, impressive analysis and optimization applications have been successfully carried out in industry, government, and academia alike. Additionally, theoretical developments ranging from new optimization algorithms to approaches for design system robustness and reliability have played a significant role in the ever-growing acceptance of multidisciplinary design and optimization. Historically, the MA&O Conference has provided a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art. For the first time in its history, the MA&O Conference will be held outside the United States.

      The major topic areas for this conference have been organized into four broad topics:

    • ENCIT - BRAZILIAN CONGRESS OF THERMAL ENGINEERING AND SCIENCES

      O ENCIT é o principal evento em Ciências Térmicas na América Latina. O ENCIT é organizado a cada dois anos desde 1986 e tornou-se um dos maiores congressos da ABCM, com forte participação internacional. Como exemplo da alta qualidade de seus artigos, números especiais da revista Heat Transfer Engineering (http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/01457632.asp) vem sendo publicados com artigos selecionados do ENCIT. Em sua última versão, realizada em Curitiba - PR, em 2006, atividades programadas em relação a Santos-Dumont e ao marco dos 100 anos do vôo do 14-bis que fizeram parte do ENCIT 2006, tal como a exposição com painéis e maquetes das aeronaves projetadas e fabricadas por Santos Dumont.     • COBEM - INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

      This the most important event in the field of Mechanical Engineering in Latin America, occurring every two years since 1971. Originally named as Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia Mecânica, COBEM reached international status in the year of 2001, with an increasing number of international participants. In its twentieth edition, COBEM 2009 will be hosted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, DEMEC, of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, UFRGS, in the touristic city of Gramado.     • CONEM 2008 - V CONGRESSO NACIONAL DE ENGENHARIA MECÂNICA

O CONEM - Congresso Nacional de Engernharia Mecânica é reaLizado desde 1990, incluído no calendário de eventos da ABCM desde 1992 e tem ocorrido até então no Norte - Nordeste. O evento tem significativa participação dos setores de ensino e pesquisa em engenharia cobrindo todas as Áreas de atuação das Ciência Mecânicas. Na sua última edição realizada em Recife em agosto de 2006, foram publicados seiscentos e quarenta e cinco trabalhos em seus anais, contando com a participação Efetiva da comunidade científica de todo país.     • INTERNATIONAL HEAT TRANSFER CONFERENCE

      Trata-se da principal conferência mundial de Transferência de Calor. A IHTC é organizada a cada 4 anos, desde 1962. Seu objetivo é proporcionar um forum de exposição e troca de idéias, métodos e resultados em transferência de calor e massa. A IHTC é organizada sob a chancela da Asembly for International Heat Transfer Conference (http://www.aihtc.org/), na qual a ABCM, através de seu Comitê de Ciências Térmicas, é a entidade Brasileira representante. O Brasil, desde a conferência de 1994, tem alocada uma cota de 10 artigos na IHTC. A possibilidade de aumento desta cota é grande, tendo em vista a forte participação brasileira e o alto nível dos trabalhos apresentados nas últimas versões desta conferência. A próxima edição será realizada em agosto de 2010, em Washington -DC, USA.

    • ICIPE - 6th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INVERSE PROBLEMS IN ENGINEERING: THEORY AND PRACTICE

      The 6th International Conference on Inverse Problems in Engineering: Theory and Practice belongs to a successful series of conferences held in a three-year cycle.Previous conferences took place in Palm Coast, Florida (1993), Le Croisic, France (1996), Port Ludlow, Washington (1999), Angra dos Reis, Brazil (2002), and Cambridge, UK (2005). The conference has its roots on the informal seminars organized by Prof. J. V. Beck at Michigan State University, which were initiated in 1987. Noteworthy features of all meetings of this series are their balanced focus on theory and applications (and, better yet, the combination of both), and the presence of researchers of different scientific fields allowing cross-fertilization around a wide spectrum of inverse methodologies.
